Arguably the last and final Eco-Challenge event. This regional qualifying race took place in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada in the summer of 2003.The top Canadian and US teams were to qualify for the next Eco-Challenge rumoured to be in South Africa.The next Eco-Challenge never materialized as the producer, Mark Burnett, had other hits like Survivor, The Apprentice and Rock Star to focus on.

This is the video played at the closing ceremony of Eco-Challenge Fiji. This is Eco-Challenge and a Mark Burnett Production. Volunteers were given souvenir copies. I did NOT make this video nor do I take credit for it. I merely want to share with other fans.Looking back, it was a landmark experience to be a part of the last Eco-Challenge. I just hope that 'last' means most recent, and not final.
